“Believe in your infinite potential. Your only limitations are those you set upon yourself.”

Compassionate help for life's problems

Compassionate help for life's problems

Welcome to our counseling practice
We are all human. Sometimes we are thriving and sometimes we are just surviving. People of all ages struggle at different times with depression, anxiety, trauma, or just handling life's many transitions.

It's okay to seek help and care. In fact, it shows strength and an eagerness to want to improve your life and make positive changes.

So often people think that "hitting the gym" or starting to "eat clean" will be the change they need. Physical exercise and healthy eating are positive  additions to one's lifestyle, but it is important to understand the benefits of mental and emotional health as well. Too often we neglect that part of ourselves until things seem to hit rock bottom. Take care of your mental and emotional health just like you would your physical health. Do you need a check in?

There is no "one size fits all" approach to therapy. At Grey Matters Counseling we believe in meeting you, the client, where you are at and finding out what works well for you. We incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused therapy, and other mindfulness techniques to help you focus on the present moment.

Meet Mary Durand

Licensed Professional Counselor

Seeking therapy is a personal choice and one that shows strength, bravery, and a strong desire for personal growth.

After years of teaching high school, I decided I could help the teenagers and families I interacted with better as a licensed counselor.
